Give me an inch and don't I darn well take a mile.
Indeed, I have spent the last six weeks in my tent, give or take a night or two, here and there, perched on the shore, and I do mean 'on the shore' of five different fresh water lakes in Ontario.
I couldn't stop myself. I'm an addict when it comes to living outside. And in fact, my canoe is still firmly attached to my car....perhaps just one more trip before the big chill sweeps our land....the thought drifts aimlessly in the back of my very quiet mind.
Did you know that when a lake is smooth as glass, you can see the belly of flying loons perfectly reflected?
Never mind. Some things must be seen to be believed. And besides, there's nothing worse than someone going on about their deeply relaxing vacation if you haven't had one yourself.
