Calendar Girl Blog: 2008 Edition Update

Dear calendar fans and readers - it's been a while.

Life threw me a couple curve balls this spring - one being a serious health issue which I could no longer deny.

In an effort to put my priorities in order, I've had to cancel the publication of the 2008 edition of Breast of Canada. From get go to final moment takes 10 months of focused attention and considerable physical output. There was simply no way I could manage the work required and no way to further justify the financial stress the project brings with it.

This was no easy decision.

I have posted the full six year catalogue of issues on my order page should you be interested in owning the entire collection. Click on this link to see. And I have posted a small but more detailed account of my situation here and a somewhat longer account at this link.

Calendar Girl is not sure what the future will bring for Breast of Canada - but then again, she never was. Should life reshuffle the deck and deal a more pleasing hand, there may be a rebirth. Until such luck is experienced, Calendar Girl wishes you and yours breast health.

Sue,

I'm so sorry to hear that you have had to cancel the 2008 edition - although your decision is totally understandable.

This must have been a really hard decision for you. However, although I was personally looking forward to this edition, the timing might just be right. You were wondering about it last year. Maybe a force greater than yourself has made the decision for you.

Al my very best wishes.

I just visited the site today to buy the 2008 calender and I very sorry to hear about your health issue.

It's sad to see a break in the line of calendars. I have all the previous ones and would highly recommend anyone to buy the previous editions for the quality photographic work. Perhaps if you up to it later you could do a special edition like a one page calendar or an electronic version for 2008 to preserve the line?

I wish and hope you all the best in your recovery.

Sue,
Even the remote possibility that you may have Parkinson's is a devistating thought. I do pray that this note finds that this is not the case.
I also have a tremour in the left side of my body; and Parkinson's runs in our family. While there is a possibility that it may be so, being a Wholistic Practitioner, I feel I have to eat the proper foods, and take the proper supplements that will encourage my immune system to fight this thing off.
A friend and co-worker suggested I take a product that has been proven to fight off the effects of Parkinson's. There are studies that have proven this to be so. The product is called Immunocal; the company is Canadian and is called Immunotec Inc. It's a Montreal based company, their first product came out approximately 11 years ago. The research began approximately 25 years ago. They are well established, and I recommend you research the company AND get on the product itself. It's affordable, and well worth the effort.
The original product: HMS 90 is in the Physicians Desk Referrence, and can be prescribed to you, if necessary. I don't know if it's covered through health insurance though. Worth a try!

I realize this is presumptuous of me to even suggest it, we don't know each other, have never ? met; yet because I do know of something that can help, how else do I come across to you? Except to come straight out with it ...

I started taking the Immuocal,it's a whey powder with amino acids in it. These amino acids are the ones that our body needs to make the much needed Glutathione, which is the first line of defense for our immune systems.

I noticed a difference in my tremour after the first month of taking the product. Ever so slight mind you, yet when you have a tremour such as this, it can mean the world. I still have the tremour, yet my body is beginning to heal. I know that personally I've had brain damage as a young child, which is where the tremour may have started! I also know that by taking this simple product, my nervous system is beginning to heal.
Because of my own financial circumstances, I have had to take the hms 90, has less ingredients, yet has the same effects.

I've decided that I need to take two boxes per month, it costs more. The hms 90 is cheaper than the newer Immunocal. I'm also on an autodirect program that sends the product directly to my home. This allows me to purchase the product at a 40% discount, much more affordable.

Parkinson's has a special place with this company, there are loads of research into the disease itself, and the use of their products with a wide variety of conditions. I defintely recommend you looking into it.

Blessings be to you,

Heather
