Calendar Girl Blog: Skating on Thick Ice

Yesterday the skating goddess shined down. Guelph Lake had frozen smooth. The sun was out, the wind light and the snow covering a mere dusting that was easy to clear. A gaggle of my neighbours loaded a tobaggan with soup, sandwiches, beer and brownies and adventured to a sheltered shore side nook for a day of wild, boundary-free skating.

Calendar Girl did not fall down once in her spiffy new skates. She even managed a wobbly twirl.
