Calendar Girl Blog: Standing in Line

Please accept my apology for not posting. Believe me when I tell you that 'if' something mind blowing had happened in the last week, you would have known about it. But as it stands life here in Breastland looks like this.

Crank on the computer.
Print off orders.
Process orders.
Package orders.
Load car with orders.
Stand in the line at the post office behind people who know squat about mailing anything and patiently wait while detail after detail is explained to said people.
Send calendars.
Go to bank.

Repeat the next day.

Do not for a hair of a second read this as Calendar Girl complaining. She's very happy to report that today she will be lowering here 'Breast of Canada calendars left to sell' number down to very near 200. She simply does not think you want to read about the standing in line part.

Calendar Girl Blog: Customer Comments

One of my required fields on my on-line order form asks Where Did You Hear About The Calendar?

Here are some of my customer responses this past week.
  • I've been buying the BoC Calendar for the past six or seven years, since my mother bought one for me in (I believe) 2000. I enjoy them year after year. I have given them to friends, family, and almost-strangers as gifts, and I have yet to hear one person complain bitterly that they have received one. :)
  • I'm a regular for several years now. People in my family have come to expect their copy of 'Canadian Breasts' at Christmas. I'm happy to oblige for such a great calendar, and such a good cause!
  • Surfing the web last year. I so enjoyed all of 2006 with BoC, I decided 2007 would not be complete without it.
  • My mother in law loves this calendar..she hangs it in her kitchen and revels when people notice it.
  • I have had this calendar a number of years, and have decided to give it as gifts for 4 women (and of course, I need one for myself!). I know two women who died in their early 30's from Breast Cancer and countless survivors. Keep up the great work!
  • Love it, love it, love it!
  • Read about it in the paper last year and purchased your 2006 calendar. Wonderfully done! Thanks for all your hard work.
Calendar Girl is now down to 335 calendars. Get yours today, don't delay! Order here.

Calendar Girl Blog: Countdown to Christmas

After a very busy weekend of on-line orders and a well attended open house gift show, I am stunned, pleased and excited to announce that I only have 400 copies of the 2007 Breast of Canada calendar left.

I have never achieved this combo of low stock versus season still remaining before.

Calendar Girl will not be doing a second print run. Instead she is heading for the finish line called sell-out! She only hopes that blogging this info hasn't jinxed her chances. Order your copies here, now.

Calendar Girl Blog: The Gift of Health

I believe that the North American woman understands the concept of the pink ribbon and is quite aware of breast cancer.

So where do we go from here.

In my mind, the next step after awareness is education. And I do believe - with admitted bias - that the Breast of Canada calendar fits the educational mandate rather well.

This Christmas I urge you to give the gift of breast health education by way of a Breast of Canada calendar. Not only does it feature a striking selection of photos by photographers from across Canada, the editorial content is written in an engaging and entertaining style.

Calendar Girl guarantees that conversation will be inspired if you own one. That conversation could open doors to a healthier future for someone you love.
