Calendar Girl Blog: Goes Faster
My list of things to do before the launch Friday night is long. My time is short.
This 'too much to do in the time I have left' is part of the 'paint myself into a corner' strategy. Being wildly busy slows the process of being blindly nervous.
Slows.
Not eliminates.
Calendar Girl got some advise from a girlfriend a couple of year's ago...just before stepping on the stage of the River Run Centre and doing a speech as the Chairwoman of the Guelph Women of Distinction Awards.
"Drink one medium size glass of red wine. No more. No less."
One more thing to add to the list. A trip to the Liquor Store.

There is something about the visionary that wants to accomplish things yesterday. I know the feeling so well.
I think perhaps you feel sometimes as I often do, that if I just work hard enough in my head, if I can just fit enough things into the day, I can make "it" happen.
I've found over the last few (maybe even just the last couple) of years, that I'm becoming surrounded by friends who are willing to tie me down with heavy ropes when I get like this.
What is even nicer is that, with the deep help of these friends and colleagues I am starting to get more peaceful about outcomes. But boy it's a batlle!
