Calendar Girl Blog: Last 1,000

I have requested that the last 1,000 calendars be shipped from the printers to my dining room tomorrow. This is much sooner than I anticipated given that I just had 500 delivered 2 weeks ago.

It's a good sign. Media has been good. Orders have been solid.

And if the current order rate holds steady, I'll be sold out just before Christmas.

Sold out just before Christmas has a lovely ring to it. At least for my ears.

Calendar Girl needs a sell out on more that one level. Not just for financial reasons but for the sheer sense of relief. It's been five years of hard work.

Those 5 years of hard work are obviously paying off. Congratulations. I hope you feel a sense of accomplishment already. Step back and look how far you've come in 5 years. Your calendar, and you, and your important message, are getting lots of attention, and there's lots more to come. Now that's progress.

I think you're right Pierre...(music to a mans ears when said by a woman)....five years is often the breaking point to success for many small businesses.

That is unless they break-up earlier.

Five years of hard work well spent. Your message is so important and it's not just about physical health - important as that is.

Your work helps in changing attitudes to breasts which is a GOOD THING.

I'll have to get my order for the 2006 calendar in before you sell out.
