Calendar Girl Blog: Middle of Normal
My brother has to be medically monitored every 6 months thanks to a bout with cancer in 2004-2005. Last night we did one of our marathon phone calls which included his report on the results of his latest tests.
He: My blood work came back exactly in the middle of normal.
Me: Middle of normal? I have a brother who's blood is the middle of normal? No wait, I have a brother who IS the middle of normal.
He: What's wrong with that?
Me: Nothing. I'm happy for you. And it's funny how different we are.
Calendar Girl wonders how she strayed so far from "the middle of normal". But then again, perhaps our bloodline is but a small part of what defines us.
