Calendar Girl Blog: April
I just turned my calendar to April.
Even though it is snowing as I type, I'm certain that the April image reflects the weather situation somewhere in the world. And even though the shot was taken in my backyard, when I look out there amidst the swirling snow, I see little resemblance to the lust utopia that will be my little slice of paradise in the coming months.
Without the topfree women of course.
Calendar Girl wishes she could post the April image for all to see. But given the breastfreedom featured in the photo and the sheer amount of porn shopping that the web supports, she's reluctant to subject her models to the leering eyes of who knows whom.

Although a male, I completely understand the concern about not wanting to post the picture. It stopped me from having my own photos on the web for some time -- and still does when it comes to my family (and also respect for my wife and her own concerns).
But I also think think that I'd rather live my life around the idea that I don't want to live in fear of those with twisted minds, or what others will think. People should accept me for me and see me for who I really am.
If I stop myself from doing something because of a fear that someone may see me in a light that I did not intended, then nobody will see me in a light that I did intend either.
Society seems to live in fear of so many things lately. Certainly there's being smart about things, but it's better to be proud and and true to yourself than live in fear.

PS.
Despite appearances, this wasn't an appeal to post the picture, more that the expressed fear of posting it struck a nerve in and I needed to rant. :)
Hi Dan,
Point well taken and as you know, I have posted images before. But I recently got a Flickr account, threw up a few photos, including one of a couple of little friends of mine in the bathtub and after a day, went to look at the number of views. Every photo had 2 views, except the kids. They had 66.
This totally creeped me out. I took the photo down.
I realize the viewers were into kids and not necessarily adults. But the message still relates for me. For now, if folks want to see the pictures, they can buy the calendar.
Thanks for your rant!
