Calendar Girl Blog: Post CKWR
Tannis and I wound down from our excellent 90 minute, live radio interview in front of my fireplace with a cup of delicious African Bush Tea. Guitar in hand, she joyously reworked some melodies on her new songs, greatly inspired by her live performance earlier in the evening.
Doug Gibson, the CKWR 98.5FM host was a superb interviewer, steering the questions skillfully along. Having lived with a Breast of Canada calendar on his family room wall for most of a year, he had witnessed it's transformational and education power first hand with his own children. His enthusiasm was palatable to me and no doubt the listening audience.
My average radio show interview spans 2 - 5 minutes. Rarely has the interviewee even seen the calendar, let alone owned one.
Imagine, if you will, the difference in quality between the two styles of interview.
