Calendar Girl Blog: Pornography

All my thinking about social conditioning has lead me to wonder about pornography. I'm not a porn consumer but billions are. Why is this form of human behavior so compelling to so many women and men?

I've been asked, rather accusingly, by men if I'm trying to desexualize women's bodies by publishing the Breast of Canada calendar. It's strikes me as a strange question. From the small sampling of porno sites that I've viewed I can't help but wonder what the critics believe about sexuality.

Calendar Girl is no authority and she certainly haven't studied the complexities of porn and our society. But she's pretty sure that if she sauced up the photo shoots a couple of notches, the calendar would have a much more enthusiastic audience.
